REGEN-BY-2 - The detailed engineering started

On October 25^th, Alexandru Morosanu of HYSYTECH presented the Regen-by-2 project (EU H2020) in front of the general assembly at the University of Liège; on this occasion the progress achieved up until the midway of project was discussed during the meeting.

Within the REGEN-BY-2 project a multi-generation, all-in-one integrated energy plant foreseen by the project will be built. The plant will be able to convert any type of RES (Renewable Energy Sources) thermal sources, from low to high temperature (i.g. solar, aerothermal, geothermal, hydrothermal, biomass, landfill gas, sewage treatment plant gas and biogas), to supply simultaneous multiple typologies of end-users with different energy demands.

HYSYTECH is involved in the development, design, manufacturing and assembly of the final prototype and will also support the University of Pisa during the testing campaign.

The activities related to the detailed engineering are at the beginning and are carried out by HYSYTECH. The first design choices were presented and discussed during the meeting.
