FRESH (2022-2025)

FRESH project (EU H2020) aims at developing, operating and validating an integrated process for conversion of CO2 to potassium formate, that will be converted to electricity on demand in a fuel cell, using renewable electricity.

HYSTRAM (2022-2025)

HYSTRAM (EU H2020 project) will demonstrate a compact ammonia synthesis system based on hydrogen production through electrolysis and subsequent conversion into ammonia by reacting with nitrogen in an improved Haber-Bosch process using novel catalysts.

CATCO2NVERS (2021-2025)

CATCO2NVERS (EU H2020 project) objective is to transform waste-CO2 from two biobased industries through three catalytic methods (electrochemical, enzymatic and thermochemical) into added-value chemicals, with application in the chemical, cosmetics, and plastic industries.

The project REGEN-BY-2 (EU H2020) will develop a multi-generation (all-in-one) CHP (Combined Heating and Power), CCP (Combined Cooling and Power) and CCHP (Combined Cooling Heating and Power) device.

DECADE (2020-2024)

Decade project (EU H2020) will develop a novel photoelectrocatalytic (PEC) device, on a TRL 5 scale, engineered to use waste CO2 and bioalcohols as feeding inputs to synthetize value-added products, like ethyl acetate (EA) and ethyl formiate (EF), to be used as chemicals \ solvents od fuels additives.

SUNCOCHEM (2020-2024)

SunCoChem (EU H2020) will develop a "tandem photoelectrocatalytic reactor (TPER)" on a TRL 5 scale for the production of high added-value chemicals from solar energy, H20 and CO2.

LESGO (2020-2023)

The LESGO project (EU H2020) proposes to store energy in the C-H bond of reduced graphene oxide (rGO-H) and will demonstrate that rGO-H can become an ideal energy stock at an affordable cost without CO2 emissions used to supply electrical power on demand.

In LICROX (EU H2020 project) it will be fabricated and tested a photoelectrochemical cell (PEC), an artificial photosynthesis device for converting sunlight, water and carbon dioxide (CO2) into carbon-based molecules capable of storing chemical energy.

PERFORM is a H2020 EU project that aims at the development of an integrated platform for the production of value-added chemicals (maleic, valeric, glucaric and adipic acids) by electrochemical processes from bio-feedstocks.

The OCEAN project (H2020 EU) aims to develop an integrated process for the production of high-value C2 chemicals from carbon dioxide using electrochemistry.

In the RECODE project (H2020 EU), CO2 from the flue gases of a cement industry will be used for the production of value-added chemicals (acid additives for cement formulations) and materials (CaCO3 nanoparticles to be used as concrete fillers).

LIFECAB is a LIFE project that aims to demonstrate in real operational a new process to treat municipal biowaste (MBW) and produce soluble biorganic substances (SBO) to be used as additives for anaerobic fermentation reactors.
